PS. Cafe is one of the top 20 most Romantic Restaurants in Singapore recommended by blogger LadyIronChef. As promised in my previous blog post, we have aimed to visit all the recommended restaurants and do our version of the review (

As our Sabbath Service ended off early, Sweetie Muffin and I drove off to Plaza Singapura for some last minute shopping before we drop off at PS. Cafe nearby for dinner.

It was not easy to find a parking lot outside PS. Cafe. We were lucky that one car was going off and hence we had a parking lot for our car :)

The chair is uncomfortable :( |
The chair was just a very normal chair without much cushion. Did not feel very comfortable especially given the price we paid for everything... Mehhhh~

We were then served with the not so plain iced water. It's so amusing to see fruits and vegetables like oranges, lettuce, carrots in the water jug! However, the drink tasted like plain water just that it bore a fragrance of the tangy oranges :)

As the lighting was too dim to take a decent photo of the Menu, I have borrowed the screenshots of the menus reflected on the official website itself.

What We Ordered
Sweetie Muffin ordered the Chicken Rosa Penne and I ordered Mudcrab and Caviar Rigatoni for main course. We then decided on Steam Pudding - Ginger with Earl Grey Creme Anglaise for desserts.
Le' Food
Mudcrab and Caviar Rigatoni (SGD28++)
Handpicked Mudcrab with Lemon Butter, Spinach, Tomato, Parmesan and Black Avrugar Caviar

The dish came with a fishy smell which I disliked. The pasta was considered pretty dry with not much gravy but the overall taste was somehow acceptable.
Chicken Rosa Penne (SGD26++)
Grilled Chicken, Penne Pasta, Smoked Bacon, Spinach and Mixed Mushrooms tossed with Garlic Tomato Cream Sauce

The first few mouthfuls were pretty appetising - in fact I find this dish more flavourful than my Mudcrab and Caviar Rigatoni which smelt like poop. However as we ate more, we found the taste a little too overbearing and hence was pretty sick of this dish totally.

Steam Pudding - Ginger with Earl Grey Creme Anglaise |
We had no regrets ordering this for desserts at all. The warm and moist steamed pudding (we think its carrot cake) complement the Ginger with Earl Grey Creme Anglaise and vanilla ice-cream perfectly. The aroma from the Earl Grey was heavenly and the gravy was sweet with a spicy ginger taste - pretty similar to the taste of Ginger Cookies from Marks and Spencer, if you happen to be a fan ;)

Overall
It was a great dining experience with Sweetie Muffin, but I think this is not our idea of romance because the place got pretty rowdy as more and more people patronise the place. It is a place more ideal for drinking.
Ordering 2 sets of main dishes was a mistake as we could not finish our food and there was wastage. In addition, we ordered 2 plates of pasta! We would strongly advise couples who intend to visit the place to order a main dish first and spend most of your budget on desserts because their steamed pudding was really heavenly!
*Disclaimer: Taste is a very subjective matter. Da Rabbit is not responsible if your opinion is different from hers :p

After our dinner, we ended our day by walking around Harding Road and admire the festive lightings there :)
