It is our colleague - Emily's Birthday and we have decided to buy her lunch on one of the weekdays before she goes on Birthday leave.

As our office is located near Marina Bay (Asia Square Tower), we have decided to try out the Japanese restaurant located in The Sail @ Marina Bay.

We departed our office at 11:30 to beat the lunch crowd so we were like the first few who arrived and hence we managed to get a sofa seat located along the restaurant's glass panel. Whee~

Le' Ambience

The restaurant ain't very spacious but cozy enough for the four of us that afternoon. Also, as The Sail @ Marina Bay has glass roof, it is rather bright during the daytime due to the greenhouse effect I think..

The interior of the restaurant is rather simplistic with dull concrete looking walls.

We were rather impressed by the wine display on the shelf that we decided to snap a photo of it. *LOL*

Le' Menu

The Lunch Set Menus are actually pretty reasonably priced from SGD17.90++ Onwards.

What We Ordered

As a sashimi lover, I ordered a Bento Set H whereas my other colleagues ordered 2 Bento Set C and a Bento Set G.

Le' Food

Bento Set C (SGD19.90++)

Tonkatsu, Mixed Tempura, Sake Salad, Rice and Miso Soup

I have tried their Tonkatsu. It tasted a little too dry to my liking. But the rest tasted pretty fine.

Bento Set G (SGD24.90++)

Mini Soba, Salmon, Avocado Maki, Mixed Sushi (Salmon, Tuna, Tai) and Mixed Tempura

Serene had her Mini Soba replaced with Udon at no additional cost due to personal preference.

Bento Set H (SGD24.90++)

Mini Udon, Mixed Sashimi (Salmon, Tuna, Tai), Salmon Sushi, Wakame Salad

The sashimi tasted really good! From the close-up photo, the slices of meat were thick and fresh. I will strongly recommend you guys to order this set if you are sashimi lovers like myself ♥♥

Mini Udon, Mixed Sashimi (Salmon, Tuna, Tai), Salmon Sushi, Wakame Salad

The portion of food provided under my bento set is adequate, in fact I couldn't finish the Wakame Salad :( Actually, everything tasted great from my set just that the Wakame Salad ain't to my liking somehow... Perhaps the grass tasted too dry.. Hmmm

Overall

This place is great for a casual catch-up with friends and colleagues. The set lunches are affordable and the food and service is somewhat acceptable. So you might wanna try during your lunch time if you work nearby the Marina Bay / Raffles Place area. But do remember to leave your office earlier in order to beat the crowd!
