Love For Desserts and Waffles
Having sweet cravings at the time of the day? You might consider visiting The Waffle Factory which is a stone throw away from the Paya Lebar MRT Station (EW Line, CC Line).
The Waffle Factory is situated on Basement 1 of Singapore Post Centre Shopping Mall (Just Oppposite MacDonald's) and there is a display of their specialty waffles at their glass window...
See at how colourful and cheeful those waffles are!!
As Waffle Factory has the strict "NO Photo-taking" Policy, Da Rabbit could no longer snap photos of her favorite foodies in the eatery itself but could only upload the photos which she had taken many years ago as a reference... :(
Wonder WHY is the place so damn sticky over their photo-taking policy. If you do not let us take photos, then how are we going to do an honest review?
Da Rabbit got to know of this place through a Variety Show on Mediacorp TV years ago featuring on their cheap waffles buffet. Da Rabbit and her brother - Da Piggy dropped by the place shortly after as they were dessert lovers.

Le' Ambience
The Waffle Factory is Halal Certified, which is why you can see our Muslim friends visiting the place. Also, the eatery is pretty small and crammed but it is much cleaner than Hawker Centres.
Le' Service
The service can be a little slow and sloppy during their peak hours as there are only 2-3 staff working in the place and they need time to prepare the food. The service provided ain't that friendly as sometimes PRCs are hired and they couldn't really bother to explain the menu to you in detail.
The intimidating looking waitress.. Fine, shall NOT take any photos... :(
On top of that, they have another weird policy which requires you to pay upfront when the food is being served as if you will run out of the place without paying for your meal :(

There is quite a good variety of local Asian and Western food served here.
Da Rabbit would not recommend the local foods served as they really tasted only average and not really worth the price as their specialty is still in waffles.
This is one of our favourite drink besides the classic Root Beer Float.
Peppermint Float (SGD2.95)
Peppermint Flavour Drink with Peppermint Ice-Cream

Sweetie Muffin actually enjoys drinking this as it is very minty and refreshing :)
Spicy Famous Laksa (SGD4.50)

The taste is somewhat normal and it lacks the fragrance of coconut milk.
Hong Kong Style Soup Noodles (SGD4.50)
Chicken Sausage and Egg (Spicy)
Hong Kong Style Soup Noodles (SGD4.50) |
This is my favourite dish besides their waffles. It is the standard instant noodles taste just that there are additional ingredients added like fried egg, chicken sausage and some greens :)
Le' Waffles
Da Rabbit strongly recommends the Cheddar Cheese Waffles (S$1.50). The salty and creamy taste of the cheddar cheese goes really well with the sweet waffles :) The waffles served are extra thick but crispy on the outside. The filling is adequate and the overall taste is splendidly delicious ♥
Besdies Cheddar Cheese, Da Rabbit likes D24 Pure Durain Waffle (S$2.50)
Da Rabbit when she was young and skinny.. How she missed those days~~
Overall
The waffles are really value for money as you get to savor the richly flavoured waffles in the air-conditioned eatery and sip a beverage there as well~ Ahhh~~ Plain SHIOK-ness ♥ Moreover, if you are an A&W fan, you can always drop by to try their Root Beer Float although it is made of normal root bear and vanilla ice-cream.
Da Piggy with his Root Beer Float
He was still a baby then!!
You might wanna visit this place if you happen to be collecting your parcels from Singapore Post the next time as there isn't much crowd during weekends..
