What on earth is Korean Setting Perm? During the era when Digital Perm emerged, people were willing to spend hundreds of dollars just to curl their hair with the wires plugged onto their crowning glory without being afraid of getting electrocuted.. Well, vanity has its price.

The Korean Setting Perm claims to give volume and weight to Le' Hair, unlike the traditional ones which makes the curls tight and stiff. The Korean Setting Perm also comes with an intensive damage control treatment to ensure that the hair is easy to manage and the end result would be shiny curls instead of fried hair.

Unlike conventional perming rods which is a hazard to your hair, Korean Setting Perm uses the latest innovative ceramic technology which is efficient in emitting negative ions that offer even heat distribution throughout the hair shaft. Hair cuticles are protected from heat and hence it reduces frizz *WOW*

Ceramic Rods are also capable of breaking water down into tiny droplets which are absorbed by the hair shaft and hence locking the natural moisture of the hair during styling. The Salon was located at a corner in Orchard Centrepoint shopping mall.
The Salon's decor is not say very ATAS looking. Looks like any other salon but definitely better than the neighbourhood salons.

Upon arrival, Da Rabbit saw Nicky (Director) at the counter and enquired about the pricing of perming her long hair which looks like a broom.. Nicky was patient in explaining to Da Rabbit that the salon currently has a promotion of S$288 for a package of korean styling perm + Haircut + Treatment *GREAT* Da Rabbit was expecting that her broomy hair would cost her over S$300 for the transformation to take place... Tsk...

The staff then guided Da Rabbit to her ~~throne~~ seat where they provided her with hot tea, magazines and a blanket to cover herself in case she feels cold. Da Rabbit was also provided a soft and fluffy cushion to hug and to rest her hands in case she is tired from playing with her iPhone. Such attention to detail was totally unexpected and Da Rabbit is really impressed with the standard of service provided. Da Rabbit feels like a Princess in La La Land ♥♥

Rany was my hairstylist of the day. She not only is pretty but is also very patient and sweet too! Her customer service skills are SUPBERB! Da Rabbit enjoyed her stay there.

Rena is another jovial girl which assisted Rany in the entire transformation process. She helped Da Rabbit wash and rinse her hair and her head massage is really GOOD!!

Service

The service is worth every penny because Da Rabbit has soft ears and would listen to random people psychoing her to buy their wares. Hence Da Rabbit is very very very terrified of hard-selling. To her surprise, there was NO hard-selling at all. No suggestions by her stylist to 'upgrade' her package to use better ampoules etc etc. Nothing at all. Da Rabbit can finally relax in the salon, undisturbed. So Da Rabbit really ♥ this salon lots. Do keep up the good work and customer service yup!!

The process

Da Rabbit showed Rany her desired hairstyle.

Da Rabbit wants to be pretty, but yet lazy as she hates to do hair maintenance to her ~~broom~~ hair.. and hence it looks like a BROOM now. Rany assured Da Rabbit that the Korean Setting Perm requires minimal maintenance. All you need is to curl your hair with your fingers whilst drying your wet hair daily and applying some hair serum on it. This sounded great to Da Rabbit as she hates applying sticky mouse and slime on her hair..

Rany then showed Da Rabbit on similar hairstyles on her iPad and explained to Da Rabbit on the procedure to attain that kinda curls. After the short discussion, the transformation process finally commenced with great anticipation.

#1 Da Rabbit's hair was washed

#2 Rany helped Da Rabbit trim her hair a little.

She suggested that bangs suit Da Rabbit's face which Da Rabbit agrees, however as Da Rabbit needs to take her bridal shots in 2014, she has to keep her fringe long so that the stylists can style her hair easily.. Haix.. Da Rabbit hates her fringe now!

#4 Rena rinsed Da Rabbit's hair and chemicals were applied for a second time

#5 Rany and Rena helped Da Rabbit curl her hair with curlers before plugging in wires to start perming

The wires are heavy and Da Rabbit was overwhelmed by the weight upon her head. However Rena was very concerned and popped by several times to check if Da Rabbit is ~~still surviving~~ doing well. Da Rabbit assured that Rena that she is OK just that her head feels really heavy.

Rany suggested curling Da Rabbit's fringe so that it can stay in place and not fall flat directly on Da Rabbit's forehead.

When Rany removed the curler from Da Rabbit's fringe, we ended up laughing at Le' Fringe which looks like some seaweed soaked underwater.. LOL How Amusing!

Don't worry, that's not the end. Rany then helped Da Rabbit straighten her fringe a little by using a straightening iron afterwards. Soz her fringe turned out to look normal...

End Result
