After our satisfying dinner @ Food Republic, we proceeded to BlackBall for our favourite desserts.

BlackBall is a creation by its founder of Blackball - Mr. Tang who imaged the idea of "仙草" (grass jelly) together with the blackened chewy taro balls.

Ambience

It is another open concept eatery located in the midst of retail shops. Since it is located at a corner, not many passer-bys would be walking about to the extent of bothering you. However, it is not advisable for you to solicit business here - we have seen Financial Consultants trying to explain their products to their potential clients in this eatery whilst savouring on the mouth-watering desserts. I think the client might be so engrossed with the eating to understand what was the FC trying to communicate across.. *Oops*

They have increased the pricing.... Meh~ But no choice since you cannot enjoy this dessert anywhere else in Singapore but at BlackBall :(

Apparently, there are many ways you can consume this dessert - you can have it icy, cold, warm or hot.

Le' Dessert

We ordered BlackBall Signature Warm (S$5.40 each). By the way, the Cafe Creamer provided is the SOUL of the entire dish. You have to pour the creamer into the bowl and mix the contents to enjoy the milky taste of the dessert...

The dessert immediately looked more appetising after the Creamer was being added.

BlackBall Signature consists of a mixture of melted grass jelly, YamQ, Golden Sweet Potato, Yam Balls, Sweet Potato Balls, Read Bean and Pearls. The velvety smooth grass jelly can be slurped together with the other chewy ingredients. There are different textures in the combination but they complement each other perfectly! That is why Da Rabbit and Sweetie Fin would patronise BlackBall every time they visit 112 Katong :)
