Le' Ambience
The party was held at the Alfresco Terrace Bar located at the 2nd storey of the shophouse.
Climbing up the stairs to the Terrace Bar |
Le' Bar |
We had our party at the outdoor roof-top area and it felt rather crammed and stuffy to be honest.
I would prefer to enjoy the air-con indoors as I hate perspiration.
The ambience would be a lot nicer if there are twinkling stars in the sky ❤❤❤

We managed to speak to hospitable Chef Abhijit Saha who has won numerous prestigious titles such as 'The Best Chef of India' and was labelled as one of the 50 Most Influential Persons of Bangalore.
As we walked all the way from our office (near Tanjong Pagar MRT Station) to the venue, we were soaked in our perspiration and the chef suggested for us to try the refreshing Compressed Watermelon Martini first.
Compressed Watermelon Martini
Beefeater Gin, Watermelon Liquer, Watermelon Juice, Basil and Black Salt Foam
As we all know, watermelon has its thirst quenching and refreshing efficacies. Hence we were really grateful that we get to sip the Compressed Watermelon Martini first as the other guests who arrived later tried other cocktails without knowing the benefits of the Watermelon one :D
Compressed Watermelon Martini |
Assorted Papad (Duet of Chutneys) (SGD6++)
Banana Chips and Home-ground spices
The Assorted Papad was first to be served.
We loved the crispy Papads dipped with a zest of spicy chutneys - reminds us of the Indian version of Nachos + Chips. If only Golden Village sells them.. LOL.
Assorted Papad (Duet of Chutneys) (SGD6++) |
A little tip to share is not to be overly greedy to apply too much chutneys on your Papads as they can taste really spicy in the event of overdose (I'm not that victim OK) :p
Savoury yet Spicy |
Pashmina Chicken Supreme Kebab (SGD28++)
Mace and Cardamon Marinade, Toasted Pistachio and Saffron Sauce
Coming up next would be the meaty Pashmina Chicken Supreme Kebab.
Would you like to taste the Chicken?? |
This tasted flavourful but I would prefer eating something light and less meaty.
Pashmina Chicken Supreme Kebab (SGD28++) |
I was famished hence I finished every morsel of chicken :D |
Indian Mojito
Old Monk Supreme Rum, Mint, Lime, Demerara Sugar and Soda
We have finished the Compressed Watermelon Martini by then as we were very thirsty.
Hence the second cocktail to try would be Indian Mojito.
Indian Mojito |
Notice how brown the slice of lime looked? It seems like the slice of lime has been smoked by flame and subsequently dried.
The Indian Mojito surprisingly did not taste weird with all those herbs. In fact it tasted rather appetising with its tangy flavour :)
Close-Up on the Golden Brown Slice of Lime.. LOL |
Baked Samosa Triangles (SGD14++)
Potato, Cashew and Green Peas Filling with Chutney Foam
Would recommend you to eat the samosas before they turn soggy after being soaked in chutney foam!
Baked Samosa Triangles (SGD14++) |
I love ultra crispy samosas but these ain't as crispy as the way I liked them to be...
But overall they tasted OK.
Prawn Milagu Roast (SGD30++)
Crushed Black Pepper, Onion, Tomato and Curry Leaves
Next in line was the Prawn Milagu Roast.
This was our most favourite tapas as we craved for second servings after trying the first.
Prawn Milagu Roast (SGD30++) |
The tomato and curry paste made was really fragrant and the taste lingers in your tongue after taking the first bite *YUMMILICIOUS*
Grand Old Monk Mojito
We were served with this mysterious looking beverage in a jar consisting of mainly fumes.
The Grand Old Monk Mojito is made up of dark rum infused with cigar smoke (known as Drunken Cigar) *yes CIGAR*
The mixture contains other ingredients like tomatoes... (I can't remember the rest *Oops*)
Grand Old Monk Mojito |
I wonder if old monks smoke judging from the name.. But lo! We were told to sniff the jar when the staff opened the lid for us and. . . . .
It smelt as though somebody just tried to put out their cigarattes in a jar of water :S
As a non-smoker and a Kiasee (meaning afraid of dying in Hokkien) Singaporean, I would besiege all non-smokers to stay away from this drink as it smelt like sewage water.
The mojito would be ready for consumption once all fumes escape the jar (trust me, you won't wanna get choked whilst drinking it).
I mustered my Rabbit's Courage and took a SIP whilst I held my breath - I might puke anytime if I smell that potion!
The experience was out of the world but still unpleasant to me. At least I tried.
Khasta Roti Tacos (SGD16++)
Amritsari Chickpeas, Avocado Salsa and Sour Cream
Khasta Roti Tacos (SGD16++) |
I was too traumatised over the previous drink that I forgot what was my impression on this tapas :(
Cyro Promegranate Margarita
Don Fulano Blanco Tequila, Pomegranate Juice, Promegranate Liquer, Cointreau and Fresh Limt Juice with Liquid Nitrogen
One last drink before we call it a day...
This drink is pretty potent!
Cyro Promegranate Margarita |
The salt at the rim of the wine glass was very salty *EEks*
However the drink was great :)
