River Safari is the latest addition to Singapore's Wildlife Park and it is conveniently located in between Singapore Zoo and Night Safari. River Safari is inspired by the world's iconic rivers such as the Mississippi River, Ganges River, River Nile, Yangtze River etc.
The main attraction in River Safari is the Amazon River Quest Boat Ride.
Amazon River Quest Boat Ride
This Boat Ride is Complimentary until further notice. We have to book our time slot for the ride onsite as only limited seats are available, on a first-come-first-served basis. Do note that children must be at leash 1.06m to take the ride. Boat ride is weather permitting, you might be denied access to the boat ride during adverse weather conditions but your time slot will not be replaced in the event of ride suspension :( Last but not least, tickets sold are not refundable.
We arrived the venue at 8.45am in the morning to find that there was a queue for the Boat Ride tickets... Hence we joined the queue and waited for 15 minutes and reserved the 10.30am time-slot for the boat ride (the earlier slot at 10.00am was fully booked) - this shows how popular this ride is!

We waited for our turn to go onboard the boat and the crew stationed there briefed us on the basic safety rules like staying seated on the seats at all times and keeping our seat belts fastened.

Overall
The visit will only be worthwhile if the weather is good and you managed to clinch the boat ride tickets - this means you must go early to queue for the boat ride tickets as well.
Also, you must have kids above 1.06m, if not they cannot enjoy the boat ride.
The Panda-themed restaurant serves Dim Sum and buns fashioned in the appearance of the pandas and hence it would be amusing to bring the kids there to try the food (at a higher cost, of course).
This place is a great tourist attraction and I do like the aquarium area the most as it is air-conditioned and the underwater feeling is superb! The boat ride was not say fantastic as we did not manage to see many animals (either they are hiding or asleep in a corner) :( We will visit this place again if it is sponsored or after we have kids of our own...
