Yay! Its weekend and time to chill out at a secluded café again :)

It was a gloomy and rainy evening and hence we visited Chock Full of Beans for a cup of hot latte after seeing some splendid photos uploaded on Instagram on their latte art.

Also, I was really glad that we bought our Olympus E-PL6 Digital Camera from the Courts IT Fair @ Suntec earlier and were very eager to test our new camera out :)

Le' Ambience

The café is cozy and warm although it is small.

What We Ordered

Sweetie Muffin ordered our favourite Matcha Latte whilst I ordered Rose Latte for a change.

Pretty Latte Art :)

Also, we ordered a Bacon and Mango Pizza to share and Carrot Cake for dessert :)

UPDATE: We visited this place again for coffee and we ordered their Iced Hazelnut Latte + Hot Chocolate to try.

Coffee Time!

Latte :)

Matcha Latte - Honey Matcha (SGD5.50++)

Marvel at the ultra cute Rabbit Latte Art! I bet the staff must have known Sweetie Muffin's fetish for Rabbit that they decide to draw this on his Honey Matcha :)

The taste is comparable to our favourite Green Tea Latte from Starbucks Coffee just that this is a cuter version with latte art on it.

Rose Latte (SGD5.90++)

I love their Telephone Booth Red Cups that they use to serve their hot beverage.

The rose latte came with a Bad Batz Maru latte art which was absolutely adorable - looks like Sweetie Muffin when he was annoyed.. LOL.

Served with some rose petals on top, the Rose Latte tasted really good as well :)

Iced Hazelnut Latte (SGD6.50++)

We ordered the cold version of the drink in hope to see the famed 3D latte art but... ... Was disappointed with the 2D one. The Pikachu drawing ain't too bad either to be honest :)

Bacon and Mango Pizza (SGD21.00)
The pizza was actually pretty small and was already cut into 4 slices when it was served.

However cutting this pizza can be a chore because their crust was extremely thick and tough. We spent some time slicing this pizza into smaller pieces for eating... Also, the crust had a burnt taste which we disliked :(

Also, this pizza disappointed us greatly due to its very thick and hard crust. It does not have the thin and crispy crust we prefer from Skinny Pizza and its crust is much harder than Pizza Hut's. I have always thought Pizza Hut's pizzas were average but this pizza here proved to be worse-off :(

We managed to force ourselves to finish off the filling but the crust was simply too hard for human consumption :( Eating this pizza was simply our greatest nightmare here.

Carrot Cake (SGD6.00++)

Homemade Light Carrot Cake layered with Cream Cheese

Carrot Cake (SGD6.00++)
We like the presentation of the carrot cake - it comes with a drawing of a kitten on the plate using chocolate fudge.

However, the carrot cake tasted a little too dry for our liking as we have tasted better ones before.

We prefer our carrot cake to be moist anyways...

Overall

I will highly recommend this café for their artisan latte but definitely not for their pizzas.
