Lunch with Colleagues on a Glorious Afternoon

Ramen Bar Suzuki, Boat Quay

I was so so so so so sick of lunching @ Food Garden below my office building (Asia Square). Hence I suggested to venture to a further spot to enjoy lunch since it is the eve of a Public Holiday - Good Friday :)

Shawn suggested of going to Ramen Bar Suzuki as he heard good feedbacks of the place and hence we went ~

Le' Ambience

The place is rather crammed but pretty cosy.

We were surprised that they served a bowl of hard-boiled eggs and free flow of Iced Hojicha -- how generous!

The Order Chit is rather interactive. We were told to indicate our names on top of the individual Order Chit together with the Table Number.

Next, we have to choose the type of soup base we want for our Ramen and then decide on the toppings. Next, we have a choice on how hard or soft we want the noodles to be and the flavouring etc. Ordering is simple and fun in short :)

What is the best way to consume the ramen? Read the instruction pasted on the wall then :)

It is interesting that they are promoting the Japanese culture all around :)

Le' Food

For appetiser, mashed potato mixed with some mean (tuna, I think) was served. It tasted great with mayonaise and chilli powder in my opinion (I simply added the flavourings myself LOL).

Pure White Tonkotsu Ramen (SGD12.90 ++)

Michael's choice. He couldn't take spicy food and he has a healthy diet.. So the Pure White Suits him :)

Cardinal Red Tonkotsu Ramen (SGD13.90++)

Shawn's spicy spicy ramen. Looking red and hot!

Amber Tonkotsu Ramen (SGD14.90++) + Seaweed (Additional SGD1.00++)

This is my order. In view that this ramen is limited to 10 bowls during lunch and dinner, I ordered it without any hesitation as I do love the feeling of being EXCLUSIVE. Yup, the 'Limited Edition' mentality is the appeal and I really do love love love the soup base lots. It is very rich, the noodles tasted really great and I love eating seaweed too!

Overall

We enjoyed our dining experience as the staff there was very friendly. The food is great and value for money as compared to the ramen served in Food Garden which tasted pretty substandard.
