The premise is a very open space in the mall and hence can be rather noisy and it lacks privacy.

We were really hungry as we slept in on a glorious Sunday morning and only arrived at The Marmalade Pantry in the afternoon. Hence we ordered their main courses to fill our grouchy stomachs for a start, followed by our favourite desserts.

Braised Oxtail, Garlic, Parsley and Red Wine Jus
I ordered this right under the Pasta and Risotto Section from the Weekend Menu.
My choice of pasta was Fettuccine :)

This tasted pretty savoury but can be a tad too saltish if you eat too much of it.
I pretty much enjoyed this dish.

Kriston ordered this - as usual he enjoys ordering the most expensive item on the Menu huhhh~

This somehow looks pathetic for a SGD28++ main course. I think MacDonald's Cheese Burger should look better than this with my favourite pickles at least.. LOL!
Kriston admitted that his burger tasted disappointingly mediocre ~ see? Price does not necessarily means quality all the time!
The truffle fries on the other hand tasted pretty good - it has a very rich fragrance of truffle oil and I loved it lots! I have been stealing bites from his fries throughout :p

This somehow resembles hotcakes with whipped cream but trust me, the tangy lemon flavour of the tart makes it a refreshing choice for dessert! We loved this dessert the most out of the others we have tried at The Marmalade Pantry ;)

I love the warm and moist texture of the toffee pudding topped with caramel sauce. Oh, not to mention that pairing with vanilla ice-cream makes it a great match!

We did not enjoy this cake because it is simply too chocolate-ty. The portion is too big and we get nauseous from that chocolate overdose :(
The service is slow with staff going helter-skelter without serving much purpose.
We asked for 2 glasses of warm water whilst our orders were being taken but it was soon forgotten by that staff who took our orders. Luckily the other staff realised that our table was empty and came over to offer help.
I would not say that the main courses are fantastic. In fact, not all desserts tasted great too except for a few.
However, we will still make a return visit to the place as it is a great place to chill and to enjoy some sweet treats in ION Orchard ;)
