Catching a movie at 112 Katong Mall but still have some spare time?

Why not chill-out at Alibabar which is conveniently located opposite the mall? Alibabar is a "multi-purpose" premise which appears to be like a Kopitiam (Coffee Shop) by day and a Hawker Bar by night.

On one hand, we have been reading articles discussing about how hawker food is dying out in Singapore. The function of Alibabar seems to preserve our hawker food heritage whilst injecting the possibility of operating as a bar at the same time. This is like a novel idea of combining modern and traditional culture to cater to the demands of the younger and older generations.

The layout of the place is like a coffee shop but the décor makes it slightly upbeat with all the lightings.

Alibabar - Le' Bar

We were approached by the staff from the bar who presented us with chunky pieces of their drinks menu. We must admit that they do offer a huge selection of beer and alcohol but as non-drinkers, we ordered a glass of AnW Root Beer Float to share :)

Le Petit Paradis

What caught our attention was this little stall located at the corner serving affordable french cuisine - Le Petit Paradis.

This stall seems to be receiving a lot of attention from the mass media as we can see articles published by the press were being framed up and placed at a prominent corner of the stall.
