Note: The Coastal Settlement is recommended by LadyIronChef for being one of the top 20 most romantic restaurants in Singapore (http://musings-of-a-rabbit.blogspot.sg/2013/12/singapores-20-most-romantic-restaurants.html).
It has been some time since we went to a cosy place to chill..
Sweetie Muffin suggested going to The Coastal Settlement for some finger food since we were not very hungry for dinner..
It was my first time there and I fell in love with the cosy nostalgic ambience almost immediately. I have a soft spot for vintage stuff you see... ;)
Its in such a warm old school feeling that I so soo wanted to sing this song:
Awwww.. 往事只能回味!!! (Things in the past can only be reminisced!)
The Nice Vintage Old School Ambience
Aww my heartfelt apologies that my iPhone 4S' camera is not doing much justice to the photos.
But don't worry, you'll be able to see more pictures of the interior on the restaurant's official website provided above :)
Can you believe that those green flaps are fake windows?
The Menu
Looks pretty decent ;)
Our Beverage
Root Bear Float + Ginger Beer Float ~ not bad and comes in pretty BIG portions too :)
Side Dish #1: Fried Chicken
The Fried Chicken tasted pretty dry and not really to my liking. I prefer finger lickin' good u know? I prefer fried chicken to be succulent and crispy ~
Side Dish #2: French Fries
OK tasted good without being overly salty. And I do like the mess tin concept!
Desserts!
Of course, a meal should end with a good dessert. We ordered bread pudding with Earl Grey Tea jam on it. It was really fragrant and we ♥ it to bits~
Overall
The entire dining experience is great and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wish to escape from stress to indulge himself / herself to this treat!! Eating happy foodies as such is a morale booster :) Will visit again if Muffin's gonna drive me there cuz it'll be inconvenient for me to travel via public transport to the place.. Meh ~~
Not forgetting to end off with my cam-whoring photo:
Cheers, Until Next Time =)
