Our First Anniversary
Note: The White Rabbit is recommended by LadyIronChef for being one of the top 20 most romantic restaurants in Singapore (http://musings-of-a-rabbit.blogspot.sg/2013/12/singapores-20-most-romantic-restaurants.html).
YAY! It's Valentine's Day and also our 1st Anniversary!
Da Rabbit was introduced to Sweetie Muffin by our mutual friend - Wai Chong and we first met on 14th February 2012. Hence, this day marks our FIRST Anniversary of knowing one another for a year!
Our First Meet-Up on 14th February 2012
Photo taken in Old School Timbre and Sweetie Muffin was really nice to present us ladies each with a stalk of rose :)
Sweetie Muffin has arranged a series of surprises for Da Rabbit on our most memorable first Anniversary.
All Dressed-Up n ready to leave
Manicure to match my pink flowy dress
Firstly, Sweetie Muffin fetched Da Rabbit from home and presented Da Rabbit with.. A bouquet of Teddies! Well, I told Sweetie Fin not to waste $$ on roses like the previous V Day as the previous stalk withered away and I threw it away after some time.. Meh~ Soz, ingenious Muffin bought me a bouquet of Teddies as the teddies will last longer... *Head Bang Wall*
OK, actually I think receiving a bouquet of Teddies is worser as I do not have any excuse to throw it away as it does not wither or rot... So now, it's collecting dust in my room.. Meh!!!

Le' Surprise
Sweetie Muffin had specially made a reservation at The White Rabbit to celebrate our Anniversary as the restaurant's name suits Da Rabbit lots *FINE*
Restaurant Name: The White RabbitWebsite: http://www.thewhiterabbit.com.sgLocation: 38C Harding Road, Singapore 249541Tel: 6473 9965Operating Hours:Lunch (12:00 to 14:30) - Tuesday to FridayBrunch (10:30 to 14:30) - Saturday and SundayDinner (18:30 to 22:30) - Tuesday to Sunday*Closed on Mondays
Le' Ambience
The place was rather serene and nice. In case you guys do not know, The White Rabbit is a restaurant housed within a restored Chapel in Demsey Road. The decor was rather nostalgic and vintage. For 'Dracula' lovers, you will really fall in love with this restaurant in the chapel setting ♥~
Le' Menu
This was the Valentine's Day Menu for 2013
The Valentine's Day Set Menu consists of 6 Courses and it cost SGD128++ per person.. I was shocked when I saw the price but Sweetie Muffin said it was worthwhile as it is Valentine's Day cum Anniversary celebration for us~ Awwwww ♥♥
Starter
We were first served with assorted breads with Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar dipping sauce.
I love eating my bread with Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar lots because it is super appetising!
#1 Fine de Claire Oyster
Cucumber Aspic, Aquataine Caviar, Mixed Berries Sgroppino
This dish looked like some green slime for Halloween. However, it tasted pretty refreshing and tasty somehow :)
OK due to the dim lighting conditions, it is very difficult for you to figure out how this dish looks like. Anyway, it tasted pretty average LOL..
#4 Duo of Wagyu Beef
Beef Cheek Bourguignon and Chargrilled Wagyu Rump roasted root vegetables, mousse line potatoes
El Mago by Franck Massard, Terra Alta (100ml)
The beef was quite hard to bite - it took me quite some time to chew the meat but gave up eventually as my jaws ached :( Soz, I passed the remaining meat to Sweetie Muffin who shook his head in disagreement.. I didn't really like this dish to be frank...
#5 Strawberry Red Wine Jelly
warm chocolate sauce, Chantilly cream
The dessert was rather disappointing too. It doesn't seem to complete the meal as the taste was a little too strong. Made me feel too sick of eating more :(
Le' Service
The service was prompt with the staff patrolling the place frequently to ensure that our plates were cleared and the next dish was served on a timely basis. However, I felt oppressed and stressed out whenever the staff came over and enquired how we find the food after eating every dish ~ It wouldn't be nice to say: "Hey, I think your food doesn't suit my liking at all!" right? So I could only nod my head and smile at the staff and secretly hoping for him to walk away and leave us alone to dine in peace~
Overall
It was a great experience and my honour to be able to celebrate our love in such a romantic restaurant. In fact, I feel that I am indeed very lucky to get to know Muffin and have him show me the beautiful world outside.. Otherwise, I would still be a Rabbit in a burrow~ Thanks, Muffin for always loving me the way I am.
However, I still do feel that the food there was really overpriced as the taste was nowhere fantastic although the presentation was rather exquisite and the ambience was great...

Gifts
Pens for Sweetie Muffin
As Sweetie Muffin is a Senior Financial Consultant, I thought it would be nice to get him some pens with his name engraved on it to look presentable during presentations and client meetings. And yes, we were both very into LINE Stickers, especially the Cony and Brown dating series ♥♥~ That is how we express our affection for each other since we do not get to see each other daily :)
Valentine's Day Card and Bouquet from Sweetie Muffin
That Card contained my Sweetie Muffin's sweet nothings ♥ And also he tried to draw Cony and Brown on the envelope although it was quite a failure attempt.. *LOL*
Thanks, Sweetie Muffin for tolerating my bad temper at times and for bringing me much joy during the year I've known you... *MUACKS*
