Sick of eating the normal stuff?? Ready to venture eating something exotic?

Arab Street is the place for you to explore Middle Eastern foodies ~ Along the street, you will see shops selling rugs and carpets, people smoking water pipes, Middle Eastern melodies floating in the air... ...

Aww its a must visit place if you are in Singapore!

Ambience

We happened to pass by this restaurant whilst walking along the street and have decided to give it a try as we kinda liked the decor of the place. It was a cosy place with a very rustic charm in it.

Check out the decor!! The owner must've spent a fortune decorating this place with all the lightings and furnishing.

From the photo, you can see that there is a staircase leading to the 2nd storey.. But I think it will only be available if your group is large enough. I only had dinner with my sweetie Muffin, soz we were ushered to the cosy corner on the 1st level instead :(

Le' Menu

Not much selections but we managed to order some grilled set meals which is more economical for a couple. Oops forgot to take photo of our main course cuz we were too hungry!!!

Sweet Lahban

Sweet Lahban (Yoghurt Drink)

Awww I always loved drinking SWEET Lahban (Yoghurt Drink). The soup was not bad too aniwaes~

Pita Bread in Hummus Dipping Sauce

Amirah's Grill

And also check out the dipping sauce for the bread. It went VERY VERY well with the Pita Bread! We ordered extra serving of the Pita Bread as the sauce was too tasty. ~YUMMILICIOUS~

Basbousa (Egyptian Dessert)

Basbousa (Egyptian Dessert)

That's our dessert. Its Basbousa (Egyptian Dessert) made of pure semolina with rosewater & honey. It has a light fragrance and sweetness to the taste and we liked it pretty much.

No wonder Muffin spoke lots of honeyed words afterwards.. *rolls eyes*

Muffin drinking his red fruit punch and holding a red rose. This matches his outfit of the day ;)

Cam-whoring with good food ~~ awww what a blissful evening ~~~

Service

The service was not prompt. In fact, not the kind of service we would expect from a restaurant. The staff is pretty slack and slow. OK, understand that she isn't the boss but oh well, who cares about her when the food is decent right? At least she got our orders right before going back to the counter to slack.. hmmm

Overall

We would strongly recommend you to try the Pita Bread with the Hummus dipping. This is the one thing that you have to try when you are there!!
